About me
Hello all. My name is Tom and I’m a twenty-five year old Dutch disabled former student of English who lives in the wonderfully fantastic city of Amsterdam. There’s legal whores and weed here. Neither of which I regularly make use of. Disappointing, I know.
This blog is where I will tell you all in a deeply and disturbingly exhibitionistic way about my life as I live it: on wheels. A power wheelchair to be exact. It’s all kinds of snazzy.
But while my disability, or the topic of disability in general, might feature in a large portion of my posts, don’t expect me to write or reblog tons of uplifting, poetic-sounding texts that all basically come down to the same “I may be disabled, but I’m still a strong person” crap. I carry a deep-seated hatred for that kind of thing. Why? Because I’m a cynical bastard.
If it turns out I can actually muster the will to keep posting here, you can expect things like stories, my insightful musings on the boring life I live, drawings and photos of me, my cat and other such extraordinarily exciting subjects. And a healthy helping of sarcasm, cynicism and contempt for what’s considered to be good taste.
And a lot of sex and nudity, of course. What would a tumblelog be without an enormous amount of gratuitous sex and nudity? A boring one, obviously! So yes, sex and nudity. Wait for it; it will come. It will blow your minds. Really.
So. Read, follow, like and ask me questions. And submit things. Dirty ones, or sexy ones, or interesting ones, or just downright silly ones. And stop reading this. This ‘about me’ thing is boring.
